It's okay to be a little late on posting my Halloween photos, right? Heck, it's only a week away from Thanksgiving! Halloween was another fun night with our neighbors and friends, Belle, Snow White, and of course a Tiger.
Welcome to our blog. This is our attempt to chronicle, record, and track the daily events of our lives, both simple and extraordinary (sometimes even extraordinarily ordinary [that's a tongue twister]). Irregardless, we are truly blessed to have one another, cherished friends, and family. Above all, we all blessed beyond measure to have the love of Christ. He is truly the glue the keeps us together. Hithero, we hope you enjoy the page and get to know us better!

Update!
Okay, I admit this has been my longest break in updating our family blog. With the creation of my photography website (kellyapplegatephotography.com) and "busyness" of my business over the last several months, I admit that my family blogged has seriously lagged behind. My question: Are there still serious bloggers out there? I'm wondering how many people are spending more time on Facebook and less time updating their blogs.
If you still read blogs, please leave a reply on this blog!! :) I'm curious...
Below are a few photos of Kennedy, Ansley, and Parker after we got back from church the other day.

Wedding Photos
Cassie (my only sister) and Rachel, best friends for most of their life, were married only a few weeks apart. Both have moved away from the Indy area and are living in new parts of the US with their respective husbands. Congrats to you both; we love you guys!
Anyway, enjoy the photos. Both weddings were amazing.

Hello blogging world
So yes, I've been away from the blog for a month, but "hey I have a great excuse! I have a 6-week old and two other kiddos 4 and under. Again, I have to say that I wouldn't trade anything about my life right now. Molly is an amazing mom and wife and seems to thrive in a sleep-deprived state of newborn "world." Seriously, I don't know how she does it!!
Stay tuned, I hope to update my blog soon with more photos.
Cheers,

Parker at Home
So... yes, I have forgotten about our blog for the past 3 weeks + 1 day (of course I have a fairly good reason this time... a newborn).
Yup, Parker has really been a joy and great addition to our family. He is lucky to now have three moms but he is mostly excited for football season. In fact, he has asked me several times that since this is his first football season, he wants to watch as much football as possible to really learn the game better. Hey, we have to give him what he wants, right? ;)
Again, life is great, albeit more tiring. We're all adjusting, making changes, and learning how to function as a family of five... Ansley is also officially a middle child as well and will surely develop several issues because she is now child #2 AND a middle child (ask my mom, she can answer this question... just kidding mom).
Again, God bless everyone!! Thank you for your friendship and prayers.

Our boy has arrived!
Yesterday was a fantastic day in meeting the new member of our family... is it Parke or Parker (we still haven't finalized his name yet)?
Molly's feeling as good as can be expected, we are enjoying the luxuries of a hospital room (i.e. hospital ice, endless warm cookies, a fold-out couch to sleep on, a nursery full of nurses to watch the baby all night... it's like a vacation! [okay, not quite]
Anyway, life is good... really good. We are really most happy that he is in good health right now. Now to figure out how to parent three children... that is our next step. We thank the Lord for the blessings that are too many to count!
The bad and good news: he is getting a circumcision as a I type this message... a necessary but painful process for him.

Hanging with the Shultz clan
Another REALLY fun weekend hanging out with the Shultz and Landis (and for a minute, Ryan Palmer and his family) clans. For some strange reason, I barely picked up my camera for the weekend and only took a few photos, so enjoy. From playing Apples to Apples, learning that letting my kids ride to the neighborhood pool without seat belts is bad, and reading through baby books in an effort to pick our future son's middle name, we had a GREAT weekend.

Website
Check out my new photography website if you get a chance at: kellyapplegatephotography.com.
I would appreciate any feedback on design, ease of use, etc.... I appreciate any help! I plan to take a break from photography for most of August when the baby comes and get back into it in September. Say prayers for Molly... she if feeling okay but is ready to have this baby (hopefully sooner than later!).

Bedtime Routines
We have a VERY specific bedtime routine each night and certain words that need to be said by specific people (mainly Kennedy). I'm sure any parent of a little one can relate! Enjoy.....

Buckets of Fun
In my goal to try to accomplish something (that's right, anything) on each of my days off, I decided to wash the car (those of you who know me are aware that this is QUITE a rare occurrence, happening maybe once per year).
Ansley decided to use this opportunity to take a bath in the soap bucket. That's kind of a bath, right? We can count that as a "bath" for the day? My vote is yes.
Another hot summer day...

New Videos from Applegate Olympics
Enjoy more video from the Applegate Olympics. Good luck deciphering or understanding any of the individual games, rules, or teams. I guess this is top secret "Applegate" information.

Goodbye Cookout for the Hitchcocks
Before the crazy Indiana weather took over, we hung out with several of our friends at a small cookout last Sunday to say adios to the Hitchcocks (well, not for good). Todd will be working as an assistant principal in a school system south of Bloomington and will be moving to their new locale in the next few weeks. Very bittersweet.
The highlights of the cookout included our crazy children looking for giants and rats in the storm grate, fun with the frog pool, and of course Liz's famous secret recipe for chocolate chip cookies.

Pelsue Cookout
Again, we love our small group, who we get to hang out with every couple of weeks to have dinner, study the Bible, and have some great "hang out" time. Enjoy the photos from our recent cookout at Aaron and Emily's house. I especially love the photo of Aaron in the background of Tina and Carter's photo. Very photogenic.

2nd Annual Applegate Olympics
Last Saturday, we experienced our 2nd annual Applegate Olympics at my parents' house. What does this day consist of you might ask? Lots of swimming (including pool basketball), lounging, and made up games like "feed the baby" (see photo of Craig eating baby food below), and inducting our soon-to-be new member of the family (Josh Jacobs). All in all, GREAT day... besides a few minor injuries (including Kyle pushing me into the side of the concrete wall in a questionable "block out" move, a minor hamstring pull [not sure what happened], and a slight sunburn.)
Great times, great family!! Enjoy the pics.
Watch Kyle participate in one of our relays. He's good.
Watch my feeble attempt to touch the basketball rim. My "ups" aren't improving with age!
