Love this picture... it's very "heavenly." I captured this at dusk on our flight from Clevland to London.
This was our team getting ready to leave the airport. In the back is me and Cynthia Ziemba. In front are the students from both of our schools (L-R: Shelly, Zoe, Ali, and Marley). Very excited.
I pose with Alan before departing for Northey Island. This causeway is covered with water every so many hours as the water flows in and out of the estuary. Luckily, we weren't trapped on the island!
Two soliders guarding something... (not sure what exactly). We listened to local folks heckle them and try to get them to talk. Very nice huh?
I pose with a famous Saxon (Brythnoth), who defended Mauldon from Viking invaders in 991. Very interesting story...
In this picture, I'm walking along Northey Island with my host for the week, Alan Sims. It was incredibly remote, with nobody in the vicinity. This was only a 1 or 2 mile walk from town.
Every tour normally ends at a gift shop. This is a shop after we visited the Queen's jewels.
This is a picture standing below the Millenium Eye in downtown London. It is built like a huge bicycle spoke, we 30 cars (each holding 20 or so people) and was built in 2000 to celebrate the new millenium. It continually spins and takes 30 minutes to complete the entire cycle from top to bottom.
This view is towards the top, with parliment and Big Ben behind me.
Parliment and Big Ben along the River Thames.
Take off from Heathrow Airport.
