Party Animals

I have to say that I am quite proud of the four of us for being the last people to leaving the wedding reception, besides my parents and a few others. Some people might call this "bad parenting," such as Molly. However, I would say that my 3 girls are party animals and that I wanted to go to bed earlier. Even though Kennedy had a crazy sugar high from 2 pieces of cake, a candy necklace, and a Pez dispenser given to her by my brother Kyle (thanks by the way), she rocked the dance floor from beginning to end until finally dropping from exhaustion.

In the end, we had a great night.

Mom, Ansley, and me. Still holdin' strong at 11:15.

My mom, Kennedy, and Cassie. Guess who is the most tired?

Craig and the girls take a picture before the wedding. If you look closely at Craig's face, it looks like he is "working on something" (we use this term with Kennedy), and I don't think he is working on closing a business deal. You can't tell here, but it is COLD, COLD, COLD...

Meg and her dad walk outside for a few pre-wedding pictures. You can't tell in this picture, but she was barefoot.

Applegate / Sumracz Wedding

Congrats Craig and Meg on being newly married. I'll try to post a few more pictures this week to give you more footage of the big day. Yes, I did take a picture of my meal, and yes, I will probably post it on my blog (by special request for Kyle).

God has many exciting and growing experiences for you in the future. In all you do, follow Him.

Craig and Meg share a quiet moment after the ceremony.

Kennedy wins the dance marathon award. Here is a good picture of her dancing in her pink dress. (Molly thinks I shot way to many black and white pics... whoops.) Anyway, she had a GREAT time and enjoyed dancing with everybody in the vicinity... Craig, Cassie, Grandpa, Grandma, Papa Joe, Noni, Meg's dad, and maybe the D.J. I wonder why she doesn't like dancing with her parents in public? :)

My beautiful wife and I share a pose. Wearing your sombrero in this manner is known as the "formal sombrero" shot. She loved these sombreros for some reason.

Ansley, Ansley, Ansley. She slept for most of the wedding and reception, but I caught her awake towards the end of the reception. Will she be a crazy dancer like Kennedy?

Little bro's rehearsal

Today my little bro Craig is getting married to Meg Sumarcz (sp?)... I won't have to worry about this spelling after they get married today. Anyway, we're excited for both of them as they start their new life together. Meg is an awesome addition to our family and we're so glad that she is the person for Craig. The pictures below are from their rehearsal and the dinner that followed.

In this picture, Craig is either fanning himself, or trying to get the wedding party to start the rehearsal. Probably the latter.

Craig introduces members of the wedding party before the rehearsal.

My parents share a laugh at dinner. I told my dad to look at my mom like he truly loves her.

Meg reflects. Hmmmm... big day tomorrow huh?

Easter Sunday

Blog Disclaimer: If you haven't noticed, many of my recent picures have been in black and white? Why might you ask? I can't really give you a good answer for this question. I think black and white photography really brings out the contrast of light and shadows. I'll try to mix in some more color shots.

Secondly, today was Easter and we had a great (and busy day). We started off getting up early and going to church in Zionsville with my parents. We then went to their house to hang out for an hour or two and experience Kennedy's 1st egg hunt. What did we learn from this experience? A couple of things... 1) Kids will eat candy until their parents take it away (duh); and 2) after experiencing Round 2 of an Easter Egg hunt later in the day, I found that Kennedy quickly lost interest when the eggs did not have candy (duh). I digress... after the Egg hunt, we had lunch at my Grandma Joanne's and headed home to have a family nap, which was much needed. When we woke up, we went to the McHughs for dinner, and guess what?, more candy and an egg hunt. Wow, what a day.

In addition to the fact that Easter is an awesome day that celebrates the resurrection of Christ, we get to eat a ton of candy. Even more so, we are blessed to share it with our families.

Kennedy takes a moment to eat a Sweet Tart from one of her eggs. Life is good.

Deep thoughts by Ansley.

Mom and Ansley share a moment.

In this picture, we catch GiGi (Grandma Joanne) looking very photogenic. Kennedy munches on some lunch.

IS Winter Over??

Here is Kennedy chillin' in her "big house" as she likes to call it. Although it was sub-50 degree weather, it feels like summer to us! Once the weather turns nice, it will be hard to ever get her back in the house again. In this picture you can also see her "bunny" bag that Grandma Jody made for her.

It's hard to understand how I can embarass my daughter when she is 22 months old, but as you can see from her look in this picture, I have mastered this skill. This look says: "Please put the camera away."

A coy moment next to the slide. This is the first day she went down the slide on her own.

Family Photo Shoot

Today we experienced a family photo shoot. This process includes trick photography, various forms of child psychology, bribing (Noni brought cookies), and other assorted motivational tools. We also had the luxury of having an unbelievable photographer who makes home appearances (thanks Sarah Awe). Below are some of our favorites. Anyway, life is good with Molly, Kennedy, and Ansley. We truly feel blessed.

Dad with the daughters. I'm pretty much a sucker already.

As you can see from this picture, Kennedy is enjoying her "bribe," a sweet cookie.

Sunny Days

Spring is just around the corner! We were finally able to
get outside and enjoy some fresh air. Kennedy and Bunny
took this opportunity to go for a wagon walk!

Kennedy loves to play in her outdoor "big" house. She made
Mommy some soup in her kitchen and made eggs for Daddy.
She is quite the hostess.

A friend of ours led us to a really cool webite (http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/)
that allows you to create picture collages like this one. (Thanks, Sarah!)
This collage is of Ansley's first day with us.

Here is another collage dedicated to the one and only, Bunny.
